Name: Axolotl Scientific Name: Ambystoma mexicanum Size:18 to 35 cm in length (7-14 inches) Tank Size: 45 cm (18 inch) minimum for one specimin Food: Axolotl pellets, bloodworm, worms. Temp: 14 and 20 °C , 57-68 °F , beware of temps over 24 °C as this can cause stress. Gentle filtration required, or none and frequent water changes with dechlorinated water. One of the species that can actually be stressed by over-filtration and water currents. Large substrate required as they can eat tiny pebbles.
