Was just looking at the colours on some of the little juvenile males from one of the latest drops and noticed a lot are developing a cobra pattern . the female is large grey and colourless but show a fair ammount of spots on her tail. the male is my single remaining orange/green endler so have no idea where these little 'tigers' have come from. I wouldnt think a cobra gene could majicly appear out of thin air unless one of my now extinct california tigers somehow added their genes to the strain over a year ago

Could the female be the one that is carriyng the snakeskin gene.Female that are grey and colourless can still be the carrier.I have seen this with some snakeskins that I am working with.

I think it may be a large female. she has a slightly spotted tail compaired to all the rest who are just plain. she dropped a few gold fry last time as well but unfortunatly none survived. I dont know the origins of the females. they are supposedly pure bred but looks like they may have some guppy in them. I am hoping a few more gold fry are dropped soon. I might keep the snakeskin and the orange/greens separate so I can work on two strains! hopefully will get some pics soon. its hard as these guys are microscopic!. I have one mature male who never got over 1 inch.

The female is about 8 months old and is about the size of a medium guppy female.
the two boys are only 4-5 weeks old, they have only showed colour for the last 3 days and just grown gonopodiums in the same time.

Hope you pass a few on my way 'hint hint'. We havnt seen may of either strain sent into the state for almost a year. The top one looks like he might be a good looker when he gets older. Hope they develop some nice feathers on the tail as they get older.
