BBS (Baby or newly hatched brine shrimp) are the preffered food for new born fry of many small egg-layers and livebearers. the newly hatched brine shrimp are rich in protein and nutrients needed for growing fish but also contain a large amount of fats and oils. these are usually fed around 4-6 times a day, evry 2 hours or so (idealy) some breeders will feed a flake first as a 'stopper' because the BBS pass through a frys digestive system so quickly. These are usually fed to the fish for the first month or so of life, then they are fed larger foods such as frozen bloodworms and flake.
