When choosing a flake it is good to pay a few $ more and get the better quality brands that have added vitamins and usually more/better quality ingredients. Brand formulated for guppies are available but if you cant find them then the better total tropical flakes are also very good. When choosing a brand look carefully at the ingredients used. if there are lots like shrimp, algae, fish , tubifex and the protein is around 46% or higher then it is usually good quality. If the protein is low (40% or less) and there are few ingredients (such as daphnia, fish meal, cerial usually used as fillers) then it is probably of poorer quality and should be avoided
